Spiritual Insights For 2023 & Beyond (Part 3) As In The Days Of Noah - Rod Mills
Throughout Scripture we see God reveal to his people His plans and highlight certain focuses for the coming season of time. Each year, we pray and seek the Lord for His guidance, insights, and direction for the upcoming year. This series is an overview of some of the prophetic insights God is highlighting to the AeroNova spiritual family for the year 2023 and beyond.
Noah found favor (grace) in God’s eyes; and he was upright and blameless in his generations because He walked with God. His walk with God influenced His family and children to be upright. Noah had a sense of urgency when he started building the ark 120 years before the judgment. The key is that he started building and preparing right away when the Lord spoke to him. Very often the Lord will not reveal to us the timing so that we remain urgent and vigilant in spirit, fully preparing

So this is actually part two that I'm sharing. Now, we did have a part two that when when we had folks on New Year's Eve night stand up and share, we recorded that as a separate recording that will go out as a separate teaching episode, and it will be published later this month. So technically, this is part two for me. But when you look on the teaching library today, it'll be part three. So when you're looking for that, because I know you'll be looking for that on there. But I'm picking up in my notes here on something that we introduced. And I tell you, I really, I began to sense strongly that more and more, we're going to hear the words as it was in the days of Noah. I think we're going to hear that more. Now what's interesting, since I shared that the other night at New on New Year's Eve night, I've heard it twice more already. Just I don't even remember where it was. It's twice more I've heard it said as it was in the days of Noah. So I'm like, Man, this is interesting. I'm gonna read from Luke 1726. And then in a moment, we'll read the greater context. But Jesus, this is written in red, Jesus says, and as it was in the days of Noah, so will be also in the days of the Son of Man. And I believe that as we look in here, these words, we need to talk about what does this mean? Now, right now, at least for those of us that are a little older, but I think even a lot of young people that I'm talking to, and even my own kids in their 20s We're seeing things now, what we would call extreme darkness, we're seeing things we never thought we would see. And things that the world has never seen other than just a little bitty place here and there. Nothing major like we're seeing I'm talking about darkness, we're seeing darkness, and a push to institutionalize darkness, perversions and wickedness that no one thought imaginable. And people are actually bold about it. Like they think it's right, like they think it's okay. And we're seeing this in many people, not just people of faith, but people of the Christian faith people, the Jewish faith, people of the Muslim faith, what we call the Abrahamic religions, people of other religions, people of no religion, saying, Oh, my gosh, what is happening? What is this is so bad, this is so dark, what is happening, and this is not going to ease up, this is going to continue. And I want to talk some more about this. But we read this passage of Scripture last year. And we've read it several times in Isaiah 60, where Isaiah says, your light will shine, but he says deep darkness will cover the earth. And he's prophesying of a time when darkness intensifies in the earth. But at the same time, that darkness intensifies the light, even if you don't increase the wattage or the luminosity of your light, the darker it gets, the brighter your light gets. Now, for me, I'm praying for floodlights, guys. I'm praying for really, I want bright lights in my life, I want a spiritual luminosity, so that no one's tripping over things I want them to have clarity and to see, and the people, the friends and family and people that I'm connected with. I want them to have plenty of clarity so that they don't get into trouble. Have you ever noticed that? It's usually when you're in a dark room, it's when you stub your toe trip over something fall, you know different things. Now some of us are clumsier than others. And it doesn't matter how much lights in the room, we're, you know, we're stubbing your toe or breaking it some people. And my point, though, is that when the luminosity in the room has increased, things become much clearer. And this is our calling as God's people. And we really start sensing an emphasis of this call a few years ago, and we're I still sense that that's happening. But I want to read the scripture that I just briefly quoted from in Luke 17. Because Jesus tells us what to expect. This is what I love about God. There's a lot of prophecy in Scripture and prophecies hard to time sometimes, but God It always warns his people. In fact, the Lord, the Scripture says, the Lord would not do something without first telling his servants the prophets, and that is people who hear God. In today's world. That's not just people that are in the Old Testament office of a prophet necessarily, or the New Testament office of a prophet. But this is people who here who listen. Now there's a lot of there are a lot of people in the world today, if you say you hear God, they think you're crazy. As believers, this is our normal lifestyle. We hear God every day, we practice hearing God, this is part of it. And people think, man, you're crazy. You're what you know, and they say all these things. But listen, don't be bashful about your interaction with the voice of God and God Himself. We're not talking about schizophrenia, we're not talking about hearing weird voices here. And there, we're talking about a spiritual exercise of hearing, relating and interacting with God as individuals, as families in a spiritual family. And this is the luminosity that we live in. This is the light that we live in. God always prepares his people for what's coming. And I want to say that in the midst of whatever's come, and Jesus says, in the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer. In other words, be really happy, be encouraged, because I have overcome the world. So no matter what darkness comes, He will never sacrifice He will never leave us nor forsake us. He will not leave us to a place where we cannot see or understand what's going on. And so we pray, that God will give us revelation to see and hear His voice, amen. So please, look with man, Luke 17, verse number 26. And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man. Now what are the days of the Son of Man, he's talking about the precursors to the coming of the Lord again, he calls himself the Son of Man, the first coming of the Son of Man, he refers to as when Jesus came to there the first time, and the second coming. Now he's talking about, he says, In that day, they ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark. And the flood came and destroyed them all. Now, he doesn't stop there. He also says, likewise, as it was also in the days of Lot, he says, they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, but on that on the day, that Lot went out of sight Sodom, it rained fire, there was judgment, there was brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them. And he says, Even so it will be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. So what he's saying is that things will say, even though there's darkness in the earth, the normal economy of things will seem somewhat normal in that respect, people are still buying and selling, people are still getting married. It's not like the whole world came to a standstill. You see what he's saying. And keep in mind that we know that Noah lived in Genesis in those preparatory days, it was 120 year project to build the ark according to Scriptures. So some people assume that humanity will only live in the preparatory phases of the coming of the Lord for a few years. I've thought that for years, like, you know, when we say okay, as it gets close, as it gets really close to the coming of Jesus, many people have thought including myself for years, okay, that you know, the last 23578 1012 years is going to get really intense, you know, but until then, not maybe not so. And yet we see here Scripture gives us an example or a framework or a template to see, here's Noah, preparing for over a century. Wow. Okay, do you see kind of where we're going with this. So the preparatory phases of the church, for the coming of the Lord, do not begin in the last 10 years of this age before Jesus returns to the earth. Now, here's a question I have. And this is just a rhetorical question. How was it in the days of Noah, Jesus said, as it was in the days of Noah, so you know, naturally, we would say, Well, how was it in the days of Noah? Well, Jesus said, first of all, we just covered it, they ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day entered the ark. So number one, we know that there were certain things that were normal right across whatever time in humanity, they were somewhat normal, normalized to different seasons and times and ages. But in Genesis six, five, it tells us, The Lord saw that wickedness of humanity was right in the earth, so much so it had gotten so bad in those days, that the intent, every intent of the thoughts of their hearts were evil continually. Whoa. Now we find out in some other scriptures that murder was out of control. Now some of us would say that's happening now. And that's not happening everywhere. We understand it's in pockets. But the point is that darkness had intensified in that day. Darkness had intensified in the earth in that day, at least in the places where humans dwelled. We understand. We're not saying that we are exactly in those days, because we don't know for sure. But there is a growing sense that we are either entering them or we are really getting prepared to enter those days. Again, these days may not be 710 years, they might be 30 years, 40 years, they might be 10 years, we don't know they might be 60 years. Are you guys tracking? See what I mean? It's, we don't know the exact same time or day. In fact, the Scripture says only the Father knows the day or the time that Jesus the day or the hour that Jesus will return. But that doesn't mean that God's people don't know seasons. In fact, Jesus rebuked the leaders in his day, because they did not discern the season they were in. So God is calling us to discern the season that we're in. We're not a god is training the church. Let me say it this way, God is training the church to see current history through his lens, and his perspective, so that we are prepared. So this is really important. It's humanity has a short sightedness, if you notice, except for maybe physicist and astrophysicist, and people who look at cosmological history, which is eons is way beyond what we look at, in everyday life. Most people in everyday life, look at history in terms of decades or hundreds of years. We don't look at them in terms of 1000s of years. But God is calling us to have the long view kind of what we're talking about in the kings of tomorrow series, which we have on hold while we finish this early part of the year for this insights and to the coming years. And then we'll start that back up again. But God is calling us to have the long view. Now one of our sons, Andrew had shared a word and we this went out on the streams. And I want to share this word again, it was a Noah's Ark word. And this is going to dovetail later on, we probably won't have time today. But this is going to dovetail with a word Jennifer shared on the stream, and hopefully, she'll be able to talk about it more on no AIC rest. And I mentioned it in our last session that I taught, when we talked about what's coming in 2023 and beyond. But this word, in essence, was this call, to urgency to get in the art to build an art to, to this idea that, hey, something's coming, we need to be preparing. So how do we prepare, and the idea of this word, he said is don't mess around anymore. Now you can interpret what you what that means, but let the Holy Spirit speak to you. And he says he awoke early in the morning, and the Spirit of God was speaking to him and he wrote it down. And the Lord said, Arise, oh man, of God, I wrote a woman of God also here for you because he's a man. Some people are confused about that, too. These days. He said, Arise, oh man, or for for the ladies, woman of God arise. Oh, man and woman spiritual war, I can hear the sound of horses, I can hear the sound of chariots lining up above us a majestic army of Heaven awaits his command. I want to stop there for a moment before I continue on this word. Have you thought about this? What are the logistics in heaven? To prepare for a lot of people are gonna say I'm crazy for saying this, but just stick with me on this. The Bible teaches at cover to cover. What are the logistics involved in an invasion force? From Heaven onto the earth? Where the king over all things, will invade this realm, and he will take over the nations of the earth and all things. What do you think are involved in the logistics? Some people think that God will just snap his fingers and you know, kind of like a magic trick and go what? Boom, I'm here. You know, God, have you ever noticed he doesn't work that way. We even see these glimpses throughout scripture, that God has these councils in heaven and there's this governance that goes on. There's 24 Elders. There are there's all kinds of Thrones wounds and positions, if you will, in the heavenly realms, even in the, I mean in the kingdom of God, for sure in the kingdom of heaven for sure. But we also know from Scripture in the kingdom of darkness as well. Have you thought about this, that there is a process and a planning for what God is going to do in the earth in the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. Now people can say we're crazy. And they said, Noah was crazy in his day, right? There were many people who didn't believe a Messiah was even coming to the earth for 1000s of years. And then right on time, he showed up 2000 years ago, you see how people get short sighted. So the idea here is that he speaks to this and this prophetic word, he sees heaven, preparing. This is something I've seen in prayer many times, heaven is preparing for the coming of the Lord. And there's an extraordinary amount of preparation. And the timing is set in the heart of the Father, the Jesus said, Only the Father knows when the day or the hour is, but there is a preparation for the coming of the Lord. Now, some people say, Rod, you know, if this is, you know, 100 years off, or 500 years off, or, or even 10 years off, why are we talking about this? today? We're talking about it because the church senses something across the world, the people of God, the Spirit of God is speaking to millions of believers, and saying, prepare yourself, prepare yourself, prepare yourselves. And this is the word and this word, he said, cover yourself in the blood of the Lamb, in fear not, amidst the judgment. Now, you know, judgment doesn't come because God doesn't like people. God loves people. Right? But let me ask you this. Recently, we've seen in the news, different evil actors, and in some cases, several alleged murderers in the news that have killed people. Did people rejoice? Or were people sorrowful when they were captured? Are you following me on this? Whenever a killer is captured who's killed people, or done evil? It's inside of of most human beings. There's a sense of justice that God imprinted on us that says, That person needs to be caught. That person needs to be brought to judgment. Not because we don't like people, because we love people. Right? It's like, we love people. We don't want killers running around killing people. We don't want rapists going around raping people. Right? We don't want evil people going around doing evil things. This is the the position of most normal people. Now, if you get to a place where that's not the way you feel anymore, something's wrong. And this is happening in society, a breakdown between basic right and wrong, light and darkness, good and evil. Right? So why when we talk about the judgment of God, do not see an angry God, like some people portray him as someone who's like, you know, someone said, years ago, they saw a billboard that a church had put up, and it was kind of this threatening billboard from God, and it's signed God at the bottom and it says, Don't make me come down there. That's not the heart of God. You see what I'm saying? God's heart is, is to is to come down, but his heart is to come down and rescue people. His heart, though is also judgment, because he does not want evil to go unchecked, and molest children and rape people and kill people. And this is the end of sin. All sin, the Bible says ends out in death. In other words, even the most innocent sin that doesn't look like it's very bad. If you follow that trajectory that sin beget sin begets sin, because sin begets sin. And each time it gets worse. Some of you know that I was a chaplain for for several years in the in the state prison system when I would live in in Arizona, and I got to know many prisoners. It was a wonderful time to lead many men to Christ. It was awesome. It was a wonderful ministry and leading men to Christ. And as I got to know these men, there's one thing that was common with every single one of them. The murderers in the rapist didn't start out murdering and raping people. They started out mad at somebody. They started out angry and then that anger became an action of something physical or assault and then it got worse and then it got worse and then it got worse. The point is that sin will Always get worse if it doesn't, if it's not checked, in the credit, the flesh is not crucified. So why am I saying this because as, as Andrew shares this word, and as I share this word, it's very important when we talk about the judgment of God to see the heart of God. God is going, he's the rescuer in the situation. He's not going, Oh, I'm gonna, I'm gonna come down there and judge, you know, he's like, No, we're going to deal with this, because you're going to stop, you're going to stop hurting people, you're going to stop killing people, you're going to stop, you fill in the blanks there. And so in the judgment, He gives this word Andrew gives us worse, as in the judgment, there is victory for the saints, cover yourself with the blood of the Lamb. And this is alluding to the Passover, when, when the judgment of God came to Egypt, because Egypt would not obey God, Pharaoh would not obey God. And when the judgment came during the Passover, God said, This way he goes, apply the blood of the lamb to the doorposts of your house, and anyone in that house will be delivered. And the firstborn will not be killed. And all of the First Born, who were not in a home that was covered by the blood of the Lamb, were slain that night, by divine justice. And so this, he's alluding to this as people of God, we apply now, I'm not saying go outside and physically put red paint, or real blood on your door posts. But he's saying, actually, the reality is in the Spirit, to apply the blood of Jesus and say this household is under the blood of Jesus, we repent of our sins, we turn toward the Lord. The act of putting the blood up on the doorposts was the act of repentance. It was a public pronouncement, it wasn't blood on the inside of the doorposts. It was blood on the outside, so that everyone who passed by goes, Oh, they have made a public declaration of their allegiance to the God of Israel, Yahweh. There was no doubts in their minds whatsoever. And that's what God is calling us to do. In this prophetic word he shares, cover yourself in the blood of the Lamb, cover your families in the blood. And literally, we are doing this in a spiritual act of Passover, over our households, in the name of Jesus. Just as it was in the days of Noah, Moses, he says when I came against Egypt, so it will be in this day, only cover yourself and your family and your children with my blood. And he says, I hear these words in the heavens. Ready? Ready. Ready. Now we're talking about the heavenly hosts. They are, they are preparing. They're like a racehorse in the stalls. Like they're setting up they are configuring there are logistics, there are movements, there are plans for what is going to happen in the earth. He says they shout this and then in return, he heard, prepare, prepare, prepare. And then he said these words, he says, I see a sneeze coming over the earth, a mighty wind that will blow out wickedness from places. Now this, again, this is not necessarily the Second Coming of Jesus, this could be some kind of, of something God is releasing to bring a cleansing, worship, worship, worship. He said, worship the Lord, in the midst of his judgments, even worship the Lord. It will release his judgments. People think that judgment means no mercy. This is not true. There are many times in history, when God releases judgment, in order to save future generations. It's an act of mercy. Right? Think about think about, if you could be born into horrible circumstances, or you could be born into much better circumstances. There are times when God will hit the reset button and calibrate places, nation cities, people groups in history, for His mercy to future generations. And so don't think of judgment as a lot not having mercy because many times judgment is the love of God to preserve people, right. In the case of Egypt, it was the love of God to release a nation from bondage, and God will do this in the earth. He says Worship Him in might in strength and victory. Worship Him all all always repent and be made whole repentance is always a key part. He says in the tearing down, there will also be a building up. Now I shared this word he shared this word then I shared this word. And this was on on December 13. of last year, which was last month, and the word went out on our prayer streams. And Jennifer, she's on zoom with us today, Jennifer Dominguez, she was immediately replied, and this caught my attention, big time caught my attention, she immediately replied. And she said, I'm sitting here with Psalm 18. Open. And just underline the words, blast of breath from your nostrils. And she said, when I saw this message come in, I was actually pondering what a blast of breath from God's nostrils would look like. And then she kind of paused and she goes, it's a sneeze. Now. I don't I mean, I don't know if that's exactly what David meant, but I think she's right. And many people are waiting for perfection before they get on the ark. But listen, God is saying, Hey, don't wait till you're perfect to start building and preparing. Start now. Don't wait till you're perfect. But realize that there are times even before the coming of the Lord, when God will initiate a divine sneeze, when God will bring a divine cleansing to certain places and times. And Beth had shared this on the stream right after Jennifer shared, and she said the thing about a sneezes it's quick. It's powerful. And it does a cleansing work. I read an article years ago, because it was this article telling you don't hold your sneeze in. We've all done that, you know, especially if you're somewhere where you don't want people to hear you sneeze. And this article was talking about, hey, don't hold your sneeze in, you know, kind of you'll blow your brains out kind of thing. You know, that was kind of the idea behind it. But not literally. But it said that most people when they sneeze, there's over 90 miles per hour of pressure coming out of them out of their mouth when they sneeze. Wow. So what are the spiritual ramifications of something like that? I'll let you pray about that. Now, timing and prophetic words and warnings are always a challenging thing. But when there is a sense of urgency, like there isn't this word. And by the way, this the thing about when someone hears a prophetic word, it's weighed, but many times it confirms something you're already sensing. And this was the case, in this word for me. And excuse me, many other people. They're like, Man, I'm sensing this. This is a witness, we call that a witness of the Holy Spirit. He lives in us as believers. And he goes, yep. And you feel that confirmation in your spirit, not necessarily in your mind. But in your spirit, there's a strong confirmation of the Holy Spirit. And so there's a sense of urgency. And whenever there's a sense of urgency in something someone sharing with me, I listen, I tried to say, God, what are you saying to me in this, because I want to press into obedience, I want to right away respond to God. Because a lot of times, that's the key is is to respond to him. He is eliciting reaction and action, on our part, for our good for our prosperity, for our blessing and for our protection. And so then after we respond, the challenge is that we endure in that obedience. I believe Noah had a sense of urgency, when he started building the ark, I think, think about this, if you're, if I don't even know like, I don't know if anybody really knows here on the earth. It's like, did he know how long this project was? I'm thinking maybe he didn't know. Right? Like, you guys know what I'm talking about. We it seems like every single time we've ever done any remodeling project on our house, what we think is no, doesn't matter what we think it's always way longer. And I'm thinking Art Building is probably the same. I remember many years ago, when we had something really simple. Our home in Houston, we were going to just all we were going to do is just take the wallpaper off the wall and paint it. And this was in the 90s. And so we started taking the wallpaper. We thought we were on a two hour project, it turned into several days. Because when we got the 90s paper wallpaper off, there was the 80s wallpaper, we had to get off. And then we got the 80s wallpaper off, then there was the 70s wallpaper of and it goes on and on and on. So finally we finish but I wonder if Noah's situation may have been like that. He didn't know how long it was, but I do believe there was a certain sense of urgency even 120 years out whether he knew the timeframe or not, he probably didn't know and then to maintain that urgency guys to maintain that, and and we're going to talk about this when we get into the section on no way aggress that Jennifer mentioned But there is a certain rest in the craftsmanship of it. All right? Like he's building the ark. And he's probably learning. He's never built a ship before in his life. So he really doesn't know what he's doing. So he has to, you know, get counsel and understand what he's doing. And so there's a certain craftsmanship and joy in obeying God. And I have to believe that that was that was there with Noah. Of course, we don't know for sure. But the key here is that he started building and preparing right away when God spoke to him. But responding and starting is just the beginning. I believe that very often, the Lord will not reveal to us the timing, so that we stay or we stay vigilant. Have you ever said God, you know, Lord, what are you? What do you have for us? Where do you want us to do and you name something that's like in a distant future, and God doesn't show you write? We had that for years, we lived all over the place in the military, and many, many moves. And people said, Well, where are you going to retire? And we thought, we said, you know, the only thing close to what we think is probably Alaska, we loved it in Alaska. You know, we thought we'd retire in Alaska. Well, then, as we got closer, we started realizing, well, it wasn't gonna be Alaska. You know, the last couple years here in Colorado, we're like, Man, this is great. And so God began to reveal that to us. But what would have happened? If God said to us 20 years earlier, well, I want you to retire in Colorado, some people are great, they can take a vision like that no problem, and they can wait it out. Some people head straight to Colorado. And God's like, what are you doing? Right? It's not time to go to Colorado, this is a problem for people who have distant vision. Sometimes they try to execute the vision before it's time. Amen. And some people said, Oh, me, it's you got to think about this as that's why many times God will not give us that longer vision or granularity of vision, so that we stay focused on what he's calling us to trust him, he knows what to reveal, and when to reveal it, you can trust him Amen. The first step to getting into the ark is what this is elementary, is building the ark, you can't get into something you didn't build, he has to build it first. And so when God began to call him first, the call was the build, the first step to building the ark, is building the altar. Here's what I mean. No one needed the relationship with God, to have the communication and clarity to even know to build the ark in the first place. And so that's what we're talking about altar, the place where we worship and commune with God and interact with him. So as families, our first task in the urgency is to build the altar. And we have a whole prayer clinic, we've done quite a few times on altar building, teaching families, how to build altars, of course, we're not talking necessarily about physical, when it's not a woodworking class, it's actually teaching us how to build an altar that we worship at as a family. But that's the first step in art building is altar building, is that we build an altar. And then as a family, we commune with God, we hear His voice, we have direction, and instruction and prayer, and we interact with him. And that leads us to spiritually engage in art building. And then from there, God shows us, these are the physical things you need to do to prepare for what's coming. But that's part of the last part of the preparation. Don't you know, Beth, and I laugh about this a lot. Because, you know, if you go to Ikea, I posted a great post on Facebook. And it was a picture of a whole bunch of wood that somebody had cut, you know, they cut up all this wood, it's just, it's just mounds and mounds of wood that's cut up and the caption is, I just bought a log cabin from IKEA. And the idea is, you know everything at IKEA, you got to put together yourself. And so when we get something like that many times when we get home, what Beth and I are like your classic couple, we're pretty. We're pretty similar to a lot of couples, not all couples, but similar. And what do we do? Beth pulls out the instructions and starts reading them and I start putting it together. And then when I get stuck, and I go, I don't understand there's not enough pieces here. And she goes, No, it's this and you got to read the instructions first. A lot of times, we want to go straight to the project straight to the actions before we seek the Lord and build the altar. And so don't get the cart before the horse. Let's let's do First things first. And there's a lot of you that can teach us a lot more better, a lot better on that than me, because I'm not always the best at that. But our building is first a spiritual life. activity. Don't become weary in well doing. Now you guys know this. But I need to say it don't get tired of the words that have been given. They, they have been given as blueprints and wells. They're wells that we drink from blueprints that we build from, to help prepare the way and sustain us in the way. So, I, I shared, I think I had shared this before. And let me see in my notes, one of the things I had shared and I'll share it again here in a little bit later, keep the wells open. And the blueprints unrolled. Keep the wells open, in the blueprints, unrolled. What are we saying? It's, it's important for us, we keep the wells open, and we stay nourished in what God is speaking to us. That's that altar, we're keeping the altar, so that we are constantly in communion with God as families and as individuals, and as spiritual family. And then as we keep those wells open, the Lord sustains us. It's like Noah, he is sustained because the wells are open, he can get a drink, when it gets thirsty. He stays nourished with food and drink, if you will, in a spiritual food and drink, to stay nourished in this mammoth project, if you will. At the same time, don't roll up the blueprints. Now, here's what I mean by this, a lot of times, we get direction from God, the Lord begins to speak to us about something, two or three years into it, people start dropping off, they start going well, you know, I'm kind of interested in something else. Now. Don't do that. Don't do that. Stay engaged, stay engaged with God, you as a family, stay engaged with God, as a spiritual family, stay engaged with your spiritual family, don't let up on that. And stay engaged with the things that God is saying. This is so critical, because I've watched people and they'll be faithful to the Lord for five or six years. And then they kind of start, you know, well, I'm kind of getting bored. Well, if you're getting bored, you need to go back to the well and see what's going on. Some people will do this for a couple decades, and then they'll start getting bored. Being a board Christian has been a day that's a dangerous place to be the enemy loves board Christians, and board believers, we see what happened to David, when David got bored, he quit going to war. Next thing you know, he's, he's doing bad things, right? A good guy doing bad things, because of spiritual boredom. So stay engaged. Now. We only I'm going to find a place to stop here. But I want to read this. For 1000s of years, prophecies and whispers of the coming Messiah were told, while most of humanity did not believe, God always had a remnant of people who believed and they saw the coming of Jesus through the eyes of faith. Generations of people in different nations, ridiculed or ignored the message of the Messiah is coming. Because so many generations and so many centuries passed with no Messiah 1000s of years past, with no Messiah, no promised Messiah. And then, right on time, Jesus arrived on the earth. Because of his plan, his first coming, kind of snuck up on people didn't, with full revelation of His Messiah ship, wasn't even revealed until after the resurrection. There were people who saw who were close to him. And there were people close to him who wandered, even in his own family. But then it was revealed after the resurrection, oh, this was the Messiah after all these 1000s of years, boom, he came right on time, the Bible says, In the fullness of time, that means right when he was supposed to. But he promised to the return to the earth again, in glory and in triumph. And once again, many generations and centuries have passed. Are we in a familiar place guys, think about this. centuries have passed. 2000 years have passed since the coming of Jesus since the the the Jesus first coming in a great number of people today ridicule or ignore the message of His coming. And God still reserves a remnant of people who believe and see his coming through the eyes of faith. And I have good news for us. God has good news for us. Right on time, he will arrive once again he will come back to the earth again. Only this time he He will not sneak in until a few shepherds. It's not going to be a sneaky entry. It'll be a quick entry. It'll be a surprising entry. Jesus says like a thief in the night they won't even be expecting it. And one day, and it's getting closer, he will return to the earth. And when He returns, He will turn returning glory, He will return and triumph and he will return to judge especially evil. That's what we're talking about. Jesus brought his life to the earth that first Christmas morning. And let each of us in this in each Christmas and New Year season. And conveniently, they're both together. You know, they're a week apart. And then a week later, by the way, yesterday was Orthodox Christmas, I sent a no doubt on that. So for hundreds of years, Christians celebrated Christmas quarter the Julian calendar, which works out to be about the seventh of January. So right, you know, you got December 25, January 1, January 7, in the same season, whether you're practicing Orthodox Christmas, or the regular Christmas that we practice, we are in the season of both the first coming of Jesus and preparing for the new year. And each time we prepare for the new year we should be repairing preparing our hearts for the coming of the Lord. I know somebody believes that. Yeah. So we prepare our hearts. Peter warns us not to be seduced by the short term, temporary mindedness of the world this is dangerous. Because in this is what happened in Jesus day, many nations, other nations other than Israel. And even many people in Israel, they lost hope on a Messiah coming. They you know, it was a myth, a fairy tale. 1000s of years had gone by. God doesn't think on the same time tables. We think on Desi, I want to read a passage and we'll close here, and then we'll open it up for sharing for those who are here in on Zoom, Second Peter chapter three. And verse number three, Peter says, scoffers will come in the last days. And they'll be walking according to their own Lous. And they'll be saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep? All things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. Here, what is he saying? He said, there's people going, Hey, our fathers died, their fathers died, their fathers died, their fathers died, they keep going back and they go, nothing's happened. Jesus is not this is a fairy tale. This is a myth. I got good news for you. It's not a myth. Peter says for they willfully forget that by the word of God, the heavens were of old. He's in other words, Peter is going Hey, guys, the heavens. He's talking about the universe that this is old, that you're in the wrong timetables, when you start looking at it and going, Oh, nothing's happened. Jesus has not returned. He's like you're on the wrong timetable. As a matter of fact, if you skip down there into may find the verse. He says in verse eight, when you skipped down a couple of verses, but Beloved, do not forget this one thing that with the Lord, one day, is as 1000 years, and 1000 years as one day. But here's the promise. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness, but he is long suffering toward us all. God is not going to miss it on his promises to us what He says He will do, he will do. And he's not willing that any should perish. He wants everyone to come to repentance. He wants everyone to live in repentance. He doesn't make us He will not make people live in repentance, but He wants everyone to live in repentance. And so we'll we'll stop there for today. And we'll visit a few other scriptures here on this theme as we're talking about what's coming. But right now, the essence of what we since God's saying is that we are entering preparatory years. Now guys, I don't know how long it is until the coming of the Lord, some of my spiritual mentors, believe it's very soon they're like, they believe it's maybe a decade or two. I don't know that to be true. I don't have a strong sense of how it's going to work. But I know this, that I believe there's an urgency to prepare these younger generations for the coming of the Lord. And we're going to do that. I don't believe and this is my own personal belief. God hasn't told me this, because of some things that have happened to me in prayer. And some things the Lord shown me I don't believe I will physically be alive on the earth when the Lord returns. I believe I will be I'm believe God to be what Enoch said. He saw the Lord returning with 10 1000s of his saints, and I believe in to be in that company of God's saints when they returned to the earth as a great company of saints. But I'll tell you this, that I do believe that the years are closing in. And God is calling us to prepare. And whether it be for 10 years, or five years, or 50 years or 100 years, it's very possible that we have some young ones here who may be alive 95 100 years from now. It's very possible, let's prepare them for what's coming. And God has good news for us, he wins, God has good news for you. You can be on the winning team, you can win. And so this is our desire. Let's pray, Lord, we thank you, that you prepare your people you don't leave us in the dark in the blind, you, you talk to us, you speak to us, you show us things. You speak to your people across the earth, in every nation of the world, you are speaking to the citizens of heaven, you are revealing yourself and your plans. And so we want to pray today, Father, in the name of Jesus, I want to pray for every family, every person in our spiritual family and friends and networks, and others that we're loving and ministering to and serving, we pray for a sense of the urgency of your Holy Spirit, and what you're doing. And Lord, we pray for clarity of voice and clarity of vision. So that like Noah, we can be altar builders and art builders, and we will be prepared, our generations will be prepared. And it's my prayer Lord, that when when you return these generations of disciples that we're investing into these generations of children that we're raising, and each generation, that you will find faith in the earth in these people. And that's our prayer to you, Lord, we pray with all of our hearts with earnestness of faith, that you will help us and that you will show us the way and that you will teach us to partner with you to prepare these generations for the coming to the Lord. And right now we're looking at 2023. And so we ask You, Lord, we want to we want to be faithful to you every day and 2023 to prepare the way, we don't know about 2024 2025 2026 and onward. But right now we're in 2023. And we want to prepare the way for this year. And for those who are listening on the teaching library, whatever year they may be in, if this is listened to in later years, we pray the same prayer that you will help them to prepare in that year for what you're calling us as a people to build altars and arcs, and to see through the eyes of faith the coming of the Lord in Jesus name. Amen.
