Dr. Rod Mills serves as the Senior Leader & Senior Pastor of AeroNova, a grassroots multi-national mission with spiritual communities and church alliances in various places in the US and overseas. He is an Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies, Theology, & Christian Ministry at Regent University, and a Senior Fellow at the Center For Transformational Living. He has served as a pastor, church planter, military chaplain, clinical chaplain, university professor, author, and teacher. He and his wife Beth live in Colorado and have been married for more than 36 years, with five grown children and eighteen grandchildren.
He holds undergraduate degrees in communications technology and in business. He is a Beazley Scholar, holding a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Leadership & Management from Regent University. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree and served as a doctoral fellow with a clinical residency in the Institute for Surgical Research. He has planted churches and ministries overseas and in the US, including several large churches, as well as many ministries and churches in restricted countries. He has taught around the world in conferences, churches, universities, gatherings, and post-graduate seminars and symposiums. He is the author of articles, teaching series, and Leading Team Projects, one of the twelve volumes of the Foundations for Emerging Leaders Series in Leadership Training International's Leadership Training System. His work in this system has been published into many languages, and is used in universities, seminaries, and ministry training schools throughout the world. In many circles, Dr. Mills has been known as Chaplain Mills or Colonel Mills since he’s a retired military chaplain in the rank of Lt. Colonel. He has been awarded more than four dozen military medals, awards and decorations including two bronze stars. Before he was a military chaplain, he served as an intelligence aviator in the US Air Force. He is an instrument-rated commercial pilot for airplanes and gliders, and certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration as a flight instructor, qualified to train pilots in airplanes, aerobatic bi-planes, tail-wheel aircraft, and instrument flying. He has flown numerous kinds of aircraft, and spent years flying search and rescue in Alaska and Hawaii. He enjoys prayer, studying, spending time with his family, flying airplanes & gliders, reading, writing, hiking, music, and traveling.
