Becoming an overcomer starts early life. When you plant seeds of devotion toward wisdom and understanding the ways of God in your teens, you will get hundreds back in the next decade. In this teaching we discuss the critical elements of early devotion, humility, and being connected with a thriving spiritual family to walk in the victory of God all throughout life.
These teachings were recorded live at the Denver Lighthouse Youth Conference.
From the beginning the invitation has been to start in the delight of God from a place of rest. In rhythms of rest are blessing. This set apart time is an invitation to encounter the divine.
Many think of Sabbath as a religious rule. But God invites us into rhythms of Sabbath, from daily rhythms to entire seasons of Sabbath. These rhythms of rest are God’s gift to His people.
What does it mean to be people of the Spirit? As people with the Spirit of God indwelling in our human body, we are representatives of the age to come, ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, living in the midst of a corrupt world. When we become people of the Spirit, we began an adventure of discovery of what happens when people are as God originally intended, united with the Holy Spirit of God.
Elijah’s life is the tale of two paradigms, two ways of living: a success paradigm or a legacy paradigm. The success paradigm is a way of thinking, living, and developing focus around being successful while a legacy paradigm focuses on reproducing a legacy. In it, personal success takes a back seat to the success of others and investment in others. This paradigm is all about love. It thrives out of the overflow of the Great Commandments.
Spiritual leadership, spiritual fathering, and generational transfer are irrespective of professions and positions in the natural realm. They are heavily influenced by Divine calling and Divine relationship. Though Elijah didn’t set out to become a spiritual father relational closeness with God transformed him into a spiritual father of prophets, kings, leaders, and many more.
Up until this time in the story, Elijah had been focused on HIS mission, HIS calling, HIS success, HIS failure. Through this crisis, God brought him through a strategic shift and transition in his life. Here in this cave, God transitioned him from a life focused on success to a life focused on legacy; from a life focused on being a son to a life focused on being a father.
Why is God allowing wickedness to grow so grossly, so devastatingly, in the earth? Romans 11:30-32 says that God commanded them all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all the same peoples and that he might extend mercy to them. God does not force anyone to receive mercy. He greenhouses them in their sin, in order that it the sin multiplies rapidly. And they see the evil of their own hearts enough to recognize their need for repentance, for deliverance, for redemption, because all of us are right in our own eyes.
No matter what storms may be raging around us, what the Lord requires of us doesn’t change. The times my change but the responsibility of the people of God to put on display the character of God never changes. And putting God’s nature on display is established on a foundation of humility.
There are times we may feel frustrated or confused by what God is doing. Many times that’s because we are holding God to the way we would do things, instead of becoming students of Gods ways. But throughout Scripture, we see wisdom portrayed as seeking after God's ways, and admitting that His ways are higher and better and different than ours.
No matter what storms may be raging around us, what the Lord requires of us doesn’t change. The times my change but the responsibility of the people of God to put on display the character of God never changes. And putting God’s nature on display is established on a foundation of humility.
Throughout Scripture we see God reveal to his people His plans and highlight certain focuses for the coming season of time. Each year, we pray and seek the Lord for His guidance, insights, and direction for the upcoming year. This series is an overview of some of the prophetic insights God is highlighting to the AeroNova spiritual family for the year 2023 and beyond.

In 2023 and beyond, God is calling us to study and understand the calling of Jeremiah. He understood that the spiritual weapons and authority of the heavens are much greater than human weapons. God-empowered spiritual warfare is much more effective than man-empowered physical warfare.
There is a faithfulness that comes from being settled in the place which God has called us. But how do we “not grow weary while doing good”? By seeing the invisible harvest and keeping company with people who remain 100% in the race.
Noah found favor (grace) in God’s eyes; and he was upright and blameless in his generations because He walked with God. His walk with God influenced His family and children to be upright. Noah had a sense of urgency when he started building the ark 120 years before the judgment. The key is that he started building and preparing right away when the Lord spoke to him. Very often the Lord will not reveal to us the timing so that we remain urgent and vigilant in spirit, fully preparing.
God is always present. He's always at work, but he's not always doing the things we think He should be doing when we think He should be doing them. And the world tends to respond to that with ignorance and arrogance, blaming God or accusing him. But the response of faith says, teach me your ways God. More than ever in order to be positioned to cooperate with what the Lord is doing we need to pray bold prayers that please Him and serve His purposes.
In this episode, Paster Rod Mills talks about the need to press into Divine Promises, Prophetic Words, & Divine Direction and addresses the shifting and shaking that is coming that will reveal the homes, households, and spiritual families that are built upon the rock foundations of heaven.
In this series we’re looking at two lens that are essential for us to see reality accurately: the lens of creation and the lens of eternity, the spiritual world. In order to have good depth perception, it is critical to see through two eyes, not through one. In the same way, these two lens are required to have spiritual depth perception, to have a three-dimensional view of our spiritual and physical operating environment. If we don’t think about eternity accurately, we won’t see this life accurately. We must see this life through the lens and purposes of eternity.
The design of creation is to give us a lens into God, His attributes, the hidden realms of reality, and the ages to come. Not only must we see eternity through the lens of this creation; we must see this creation and this present age through the lens of eternity.
Why do we celebrate Advent and what does it mean? As Christians we're both looking back and celebrating His first coming and looking forward to His second coming.
Elijah found that there are two different lifestyles of serving God, not one. This is not a lifestyle of not serving God and a lifestyle of serving God, but two different lifestyles: the Success Paradigm and the Legacy Paradigm. Either way can be serving God, that doesn't mean it's best.
In Romans 11 Paul talks about the remnant of 7000 prophets that God told Elijah he had reserved for Himself. In this context the word "remnant" is not used to describe all of God's people but specifically describes those who- like Elijah- were deeply committed to God. In this series we talk about what it means to be a part of that remnant of hidden Elijahs, the ones who are involved in hearing and speaking the word of the Lord.
The season of repentance is about actively turning away from evil and turning towards God. While we choose to walk in repentance every day, there are times to celebrate and observe corporately. This time is about more than just choosing obedience, but about turning to God to restore relationship with Him.

Inner healing is part of the sanctification process in which our inner life is brought into alignment with the gospel. The heart of God is toward the broken, as is seen all throughout scripture. Spiritual fathers and mothers play a significant role is God’s restoration process. A wise spiritual parent, grows in an awareness of inner healing needs and knows the modes of healing available. They tend to their own heart well, processing their own emotions with the Lord and seeking help from other mature Christians. And a wise spiritual parent intentionally cultivates a safe, loving community in which people find acceptance, a safe place to heal, and encouragement towards spiritual maturity.

The connections between spiritual fathers, restoration, and generational transfer, are not automatically intuitive to some. Our goal here is to look through the divine telescopes and peer back across time at this tidal wave we call the mantle of Elijah, that began in an encounter with God in a cave and created an incredible chain reaction move of the Holy Spirit that is increasingly impacting the human race and eternity.
